It's been in the back of my service truck for the whole time. Actually replaced my truck itself and compressor is in our new one. We run a mobile diesel truck repair and welding company and it is our only compressor. Plenty of power to take off 18 wheeler tires, even with a 1/2 Cornwall impact!! When it's cold you have to choke it, but that's to be expected. It's really got some miles on it, but has never failed me.
BillA1952 from Los Angeles, Ca, Fontana. I go to the Imperial sand dunes several times a year and when taking the truck into the dunes you need to air down. I always hated doing this because it would take some 2 hours to air up when getting ready to leave for home. Now it takes less then 20 minutes to bring the tires up to normal pressure. The best part is this rig has plenty of power and just sips gas which as we all know in todays world really counts.Well Built, More than Meets Expectations. Received compressor, put wheels and handle on - with loctite. Added oil and ran compressor for break-in as manual states. From empty tank - zero psi - to 130 psi and "ready to work" is 2 minutes. With line pressure regulated to 80psi and air line held open with a blowgun, compressor keeps up. With pressure regulated to 110psi, air line open with blowgun, compressor will fail to keep up and drop very slowly. Compressor cut in is 100psi, cut out is 130psi. Idle at cut out is a very quiet, smooth idle. Engine run up at cut in is not truly loud and engine runs very smoothly.
From my calculations, measuring 8oz of fuel into the tank at a time and running to empty, a full tank should run more than 5 hours. This air compressor works great. It starts easy, its not to heavy to move around, and will run every tool i have hooked up to it. I do alot of heavy work on trucks and equipment, and its great. I bought this to re-paint my motorcoach.
It has been able to run the DA sander and all other tools including the spray gun without any problems. It is without a doubt more capable than the two previous 220 VAC electric air compressor that I have owned. I really like the fact that I did not have to install a footing for it to sit on, and did not have to install a 50 amp 220 VAC line to plug it in to like I had to do for the previous air compressors I owned.
