Our 212cc 4-stroke air-cooled OHV engine operates at an extremely quiet 57 decibels at quarter load, about as quiet as a window air conditioner or the average conversation. The WEN 3800W Inverter Generator is also equipped with fuel shutoff. This turns off the flow of fuel, allowing the generator to use up the remaining fuel from the carburetor before automatically shutting down to prevent unwanted buildup.

Easy to set up and works as it should. I like the shutoff setting where it empties the gas from the carburettor before it shuts down.

I bought this gen-set primarily for the planned power outages in CA due to fires. My needs were as follows: Enough power to take care of a 26 cu ft fridge/freezer, a 7 cu ft deep freezer, 50' flat screen TV and lastly the internet modem so I can stay connected. It was also a requirement that it be as quiet as possible/reasonable.

Not much of a demand, just the basics. The 3800 powers this all without breaking a sweat.

One thing which is very important... Since it may sit for up to a year between uses, it has a feature that when you turn it off, you can run the carburetor out of gas. Just turn the control knob and let the gen-set run itself out. The main tank will still have fuel but the carburetor will be dry and not gummed up after sitting a long time.

A really nice and convenient feature. I have it setup very simply. From it I divide into three smaller cords going into the devices. Since these events are infrequent I will likely stay with this arrangement for simplicity. The unit is small enough to roll over to my neighbor so I can give them a hit of power for their refrigerator if needs.

The 3800 is about 100 pounds to lift. The size is useful for all kinds of needs for power camping, tools etc... So my needs were met - plenty of power to spare for MY needs and super quiet. Nicely packaged (design wise) too. We had a Wen generator before and it still runs great.
